A Big Apple mom dropped a dime on her subway-mugger son when she recognized him on a news segment, according to police sources.

Cops arrested Kevin Williams, 34, at a homeless shelter on Wards Island on charges he’s the creep who robbed two female straphangers at knifepoint after putting a cloth over their faces.

He allegedly mugged a 50-year-old woman inside the Spring Street train station on June 13 and a 49-year-old woman at the same station four days later.

Cops gave surveillance-camera footage to the media, and when Williams’ mom saw him in the footage, she called a friend who alerted the police, sources said.
