A man was hit on the head by a 7 train this morning when he leaned out over the tracks.
The Flushing-bound 7 train was coming into the Woodside 61st Street station at 8:35 am when the victim, who was standing on the platform, hung his head out over the track.
The fast-moving train smacked him on the head, said MTA officials.
Emergency personnel took the victim to Elmhurst Hospital with a head injury. He is in serious but stable condition.
Express service on the line was suspended while officials investigated. It resumed at 9:48 am.
