A man who fell onto the tracks at 77th Street and Lexington Avenue on Friday afternoon was saved by a group of fast-thinking straphangers who pulled him up to safety just in time.
The man, who walks with a cane, fell onto the northbound tracks at about 3 pm. A group of people standing on the platform jumped down and quickly pulled him up.
Emergency personnel took the man, who was bleeding from his ear, to New York Hospital, where he is in stable condition, fire officials said.
