Subway victim ID’d
The victim killed Sunday by a subway train in Brooklyn was identified yesterday as a 24-year-old Brooklyn man.
Brendan Mahoney was on the L-train tracks of the Halsey Street station at around 5:30 a.m. when he was struck.
Police don’t think Mahoney committed suicide or was pushed. They’re investigating whether he fell off the platform or jumped to the tracks to retrieve something. Mahoney, who lived in Greenpoint, was originally from Wheaton, Ill., a source said.
