A 36-year-old man shot himself in the head last night as he drove through the Throgs Neck Bridge toll plaza, police sources said.

The man was in a 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup in the northbound lane, coming from Queens, at around 7:11 p.m. when he turned an automatic handgun on himself, authorities said.

The pickup rolled into another vehicle in the plaza.

Two people were in that car, but both refused medical attention.

The name of the suicide victim was withheld.
