A Canadian college student who walked into Bellevue Hospital looking for mental-health treatment is suing because staffers tried to have him committed.

Daniel Applebaum, who suffers from attention deficit disorder, claims he was locked up for several hours until a doctor decided he wasn’t dangerous. A Bellevue spokesman didn’t respond to a request for comment.
