An “Animal House” fraternity at an upstate hazing hotbed was so abusive to a Brooklyn-born pledge that he quit school and ditched a substantial scholarship, a new lawsuit charges.

“It’s affected him very much emotionally,” lawyer Gerald Gross said of former student Michael Warren. “He’s so frankly traumatized, he won’t come back. It may have ruined his life.”

During Warren’s initiation at the Alpha Delta Omega frat at Hartwick College in Oneonta last year, he was allegedly paddled so hard that he needed medical treatment after he and other pledges spent an entire night locked in a bathroom being subjected to strobe lights and blasting music, Gross said.

“The place is run like Animal House,” Gross said.

The suit seeking unspecified damages was filed last week in Brooklyn Supreme Court against Hartwick, Alpha Delta Omega and seven frat brothers.

A spokesman for Hartwick College said the school would not comment on litigation.
