Butter-fingered Brooklyn art handlers botched the transport of a $21 million Joan Miró painting and left a rip in the masterpiece, a lawsuit charges.

The canvas of the 1933 oil painting by the Spanish artist — titled “Painting” — suffered the nasty gash last May while being transported from Sotheby’s to its new owner in Europe, according to the suit filed in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

The insurance company for Elson Investments Ltd., an international art-investment firm that bought the painting for $21 million in February 2010, is suing Winchester Fine Art Services for failing to protect the Miró.
