A plan to bring a park to the shores of western Queens is the top choice of locals asked how to spend $7 million in settlement money the city must shell out for helping pollute Newtown Creek.

Brooklyn and Queens residents on either side of the creek got to vote last month on 22 proposals submitted by community groups in a nonbinding referendum.
