WASHINGTON — Chief Justice John Roberts is a victim of credit-card fraud.

A Supreme Court spokeswoman confirmed the theft but declined to provide additional details.

The Washington Post, however, reported that Roberts was overheard telling the cashier at a suburban Maryland Starbucks that he had to use cash for his morning coffee since he had canceled his card because someone else had its number.
