A man was caught on surveillance video trying to rape a 62-year-old woman in Lower Manhattan early Friday morning.

The suspect approached her in the rear lobby of her building at 1 a.m. and attacked her, cops said.

The victim was able to fend off her attacker, who fled the scene, cops said.

The woman refused medical attention.

The man was wearing what appears to be a leather jacket with the Batman symbol on it.
