Detectives chasing a Crime Stoppers tip arrested the brute who tried to rape a Gramercy woman this week, cops said Tuesday.

The sex attack happened about 3:30 a.m. Saturday when the man [pictured], now identified as Dominique Brown, 20, followed behind her, according to police.

Once inside the vestibule, the 170-pound predator exposed himself before pouncing on her, sources said. She was able to fight him off.

Detectives from the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit arrested Brown near his East Harlem home early Tuesday, police sources said.

He was charged with sex abuse, rape and burglary, cops said.

The woman refused medical attention at the scene after the attack, authorities said.

Brown has 19 prior arrests on his record, including sex abuse from a 2008 case, police sources said.

Nine of his prior arrests were sealed.
