A man suspected of groping a child escaped from police in Brooklyn — but was back in custody hours later, cops said Friday.

Truman Castillo, 32, escaped from Brooklyn Child Abuse Squad near Bond Street and Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill around 11:25 p.m. Thursday night, where he was being interviewed by cops.

Castillo, who was not in handcuffs, was escorted to the precinct telephone, made a call, and then rushed past the officers and out through the front door.

Castillo was back in custody around 7:30 a.m., cops said. Details of his capture were not immediately available.
