A Westchester County mother and daughter suffered “multiple stab wounds” during a domestic incident Wednesday – and police have a suspect in custody.

New Rochelle police said they were called to the Bellview Place home at 1:59 p.m. on reports of a stabbing. When officers arrived they found one woman outside and the other inside, both with several stab wounds.

The alleged attacker fled the scene but was taken into custody nearby, with police also recovering the knife allegedly used in the attacks, according to a press release issued by the department.

Police were withholding the identities of the victims and the suspect, but said that “formal charges” will be filed in the case.

Both victims were rushed to nearby hospitals. Their conditions were unknown.

The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office said it had no additional information.
