Police early today were questioning a suspect in the fatal shooting of a Queens bodega owner, The Post has learned.
The suspect, whose name was withheld, was picked up on a warrant for an unrelated crime and was being questioned in the Queens Village stationhouse.
The victim, Juan Torres, was gunned down Saturday night during a botched robbery of the Lucky Deli on Merrick Boulevard in Laurelton. He had run to the front of the store brandishing a hammer to defend his younger brother, Felix, who was being held with a gun to his head.
A third brother was killed in a similar robbery in Brooklyn more than a decade ago.
