Police believe an armed and dangerous man who shot at several police officers near an upstate hospital is hiding out in Brooklyn, authorities said.

Joshua Stuart, 42, allegedly opened fire outside Ellenville Regional Hospital near Poughkeepsie early Friday morning, authorities said. No one was injured in the shooting, police said.

Stuart then drove away from the scene of the shooting in a white Dodge Ram, but Department of Environmental Protection Police caught up with him about three miles away, police said.

He then allegedly fired four or five shots at the officers and ran away into a nearby wooded area, cops said.

Police believe Stuart was last seen in Sunset Park or Flatbush and urge anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately.
