New York City police are responding to a report of a suspicious package at Pennsylvania Station.
It’s not clear what the package is. Police are responding to the area at Seventh Avenue and 32nd Street in Midtown Manhattan. The call came around 2:25 p.m. Friday.
Amtrak spokeswoman Karina Romero says that authorities have shut down a section of the Seventh Avenue passageway. She says train service has not been effected.
Police cordoned off the east side of Penn Station to passengers.
