ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Police say five people have been injured when a sport utility vehicle crashed through the front doors of a Rochester bank.

Authorities tell the Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester that the driver was backing out of a parking space around 9 a.m. Monday when she decided to pull forward to correct her angle. They say her foot slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator, sending the SUV through the glass front doors into the Citizens Bank branch, where it came to rest against a counter.

Police say the driver and four people inside the bank where taken to Rochester hospitals for treatment of injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
