A Swiss swindler will be overstaying his tourist visa a little longer after being sentenced today to six months in jail for tricking three kind-hearted vacationers into handing over their credit cards to him.

Olivier Rey, 48, frantically convinced his victims that he’d lost his credit card in a taxi and needed help checking his family into the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers.

Then he rang up a total of $41,000 in room rentals and lived there like a king for six weeks.

“He’s a man who had financial troubles,” said his lawyer, George Depountis.

Rey has already been in jail since November, and will likely be sprung at the end of March, the lawyer said. After that, he’ll likely be deported back to Switzerland.

“He just seemed to be desperate,” vacationer victim Gary Koelling told The Post.
