The milestone baseball that Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez smacked Aug. 4, 2007, went under the hammer yesterday in an online auction conducted by SCP Auctions that will continue through Feb. 4.

The minimum bid for the ball that Rodriguez hit at Yankee Stadium off Kansas City Royals pitcher Kyle Davies was $25,000. The ball was recovered by a New York area college student.
