The dispute over ownership of the name Tavern on the Green will be decided by US District Court Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum rather than a bankruptcy judge. The judge set a hearing for Dec. 16.

The restaurant, operated by the LeRoy family, filed for bankruptcy in September. Tavern on the Green LP has said it owns the name and valued it at about $19 million in court papers.
