Over two dozen tax preparers in the New York area were busted yesterday on charges they bilked the government out of tens of millions of dollars.

The preparers were busted as part of a joint investigation between the US Attorney’s office and the IRS.

The 26 preparers have had their clients put in for $95 million in refunds over the last few years, the majority of which they weren’t entitled to.
