Three top city officials are bound for Florida — and taxpayers will be picking up the tab.
Comptroller Scott Stringer, Public Advocate Letitia James and Buildings Department Commissioner Rick Chandler left Thursday for Hollywood, Fla., to attend a Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York conference, where all three are scheduled to speak.
The bill for Stringer and his chief of staff, Sascha Owen, came to $1,305.
James, who will be accompanied by her first deputy, Ibrahim Khan, is shelling out $1,314.
The cost of Chandler’s trip is not yet known.
Stringer spokesman Tyrone Stevens said the trip is justified because his boss will share insights into his “important work.”
James spokeswoman Delaney Kempner said it’s “critical” that construction workers hear from the public advocate.
