A Brooklyn teacher was arrested Tuesday after a some “innocent horse play” turned into a real fight with two students, law enforcement sources said.
Xavier Guerrero, 32, was charged with assault for allegedly choking two kids at Khalil Gibran International Academy – a school that serves grades 6 through 12 in Boerum, officials said.
“It began as innocent horse place and rough housing” between Guerrero and a 16-year-old boy, a law enforcement source said, “that turned into fight.”
A 14-year-old boy joined the fray and punched Guerrero in the face, bloodying his nose, sources said.
The 16-year-old, who also hit Guerrero in the face, was charged with assault as an adult. The younger student was charged with assault as a juvenile.
No one had to be taken to the hospital.
