A 19-year-old pedal pusher was seriously injured after a truck driver struck him in Queens, cops said.
The cyclist’s bike sits in the street after the accident.G.N. MillerThe victim was pedaling eastbound in a marked bike lane along 34th Avenue in Corona at about 1:15 a.m., when he was struck, according to police.
The truck driver was attempting to make a right turn onto 105th Street and plowed into him, said police.
The victim suffered a serious leg injury and was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is currently being treated, authorities said.
The driver, who works for a private truck company, remained at the scene and he has not been charged with a crime at this time, cops said.
