The NYPD has collared a 14-year-old boy in connection with a series of random attacks within four hours in Sheepshead Bay — including assaults on two elderly New Yorkers, police said Friday.
The boy and two cohorts first struck just before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday near 2428 E. 27 St. in Brooklyn, where one of the boys asked an 81-year-old man, “Where is the B44 bus?” according to the police.
As the man gave them directions, the teen punched him in the face, and the group ran off, police said.
Twenty minutes later, a 64-year-old man was walking on Avenue U and East 29th Street when the group ran up to him and punched him in the face, police said.
One of the attacks occurred on E 27th St.
in Brooklyn.Google MapsThe teens struck again around 8 p.m. when they punched a 76-year-old female woman at 2959 Avenue Y after asking her a question, police said.
All of the victims were treated on the scene.
Cops arrested the 14-year-old, whose name was not released because he is a minor, and charged him Friday with multiple counts of assault, police said.
