MARION, N.Y. — State police say a 15-year-old has been charged with threatening children at an upstate elementary school’s playground where a shotgun and BB gun were found.
Police say the Marion Middle School resource officer and other troopers were called Wednesday to investigate a report of a person with a gun threatening youths playing behind the school, located in Wayne County 20 miles east of Rochester.
Police say a 15-year-old was charged with second-degree menacing. The teen was referred to Family Court and released to the custody of his parents.
Police say neither weapon was loaded.
