A teen driver was killed and her passenger is clinging to life after their motorcycle slammed into the back of a tow truck in the Bronx, cops said.
Stephanie Gil, 18, was riding her motorcycle east on Hunts Point Avenue, just east of Bryant Avenue, Monday in Hunts Point around 9:15 p.m., when she struck the back of a double-parked and unoccupied 2003 Sterling flatbed tow truck, police said.
Gil and her passenger, a 20-year-old woman, were thrown from the motorcycle and fell to the ground, hitting their heads, cops said.
Neither was wearing a helmet, police sources said.
Both women were rushed to Lincoln Medical Center, where Gil was pronounced dead and her passenger remains in critical condition, cops said.
The relationship between the pair was not immediately clear.
