A gunman may have shot a Manhattan teen to death over his jacket, police sources said.
Raphael Ward, 16, was wounded in the chest in the Lower East Side at the intersection of Rivington and Columbia Streets about 9:10 p.m. yesterday, cops said.
He ran into a nearby deli, and said that he had been shot. He added that had been approached before that by a group who had his wanted his coat, and then collapsed, sources said.
EMS rushed him to Beth Israel Hospital, but he could not be saved. He had lived nearby at the Baruch housing development.
