A teenage girl wearing a T-shirt that reads “There will be drama” was struck by a subway train at a Brooklyn station this afternoon despite the efforts of bystanders who tried to hold her back as she jumped, witnesses said.
The girl tried to kill herself at Jay Street/Metrotech station around 3 p.m. as a Manhattan-bound A train was rolling into the station. Straphangers saw the girl about to jump and grabbed onto her, but she managed to slip out of their grasp and jumped just as the train was approaching. She made some contact with the train, which stopped right away, MTA officials said.
Emergency personnel took the girl to a hospital.
