The NYPD identified a teenager as a person of interest in connection to stabbing death of a Brooklyn man who was discovered last week by firefighters putting out a fire inside his apartment.

Cops say Jahkeem Scott, 17, is a person of interest in the death of Romulo Heras, 61, and have released new photos of him in the hope of tracking him down for questioning.

Heras was found with a stab wound to the neck on Jan. 22 at around 9 a.m. shortly after the fire was extinguished in his ground-floor apartment at 59 Logan St. in Cypress Hills.

The fire is believed to have started in two areas.
