A 17-year-old boy died after being shot in the head during afternoon gunplay in the Bronx, police said.

The gunfire erupted just before 4:45 p.m. outside 1705 Hoe Avenue in Crotona where an unknown triggerman shot the teen, Kather Werts, in the foot and head, cops said.

EMS rushed Werts, of Belmont, to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police are still looking for the gunman, who took off on foot after the shooting.
