A joyride in an allegedly stolen SUV turned into a car-crash tragedy for two teen boys in Morningside Heights on Saturday night, with one dying and the other suffering injuries as they tried to elude police.

The victim, 13, had allegedly lifted the Nissan Pathfinder with a 15-year-old boy, who was at the wheel, according to police.

The pair were heading west on 116th Street when police say they spotted the SUV running a red light and turn right onto Morningside Drive.

As police attempted to pull them over, the teenagers both jumped out of the moving Pathfinder, which careened into a parked Ford Fiesta, police said.

The younger boy was pinned between the two vehicles and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The 15-year-old sustained minor injuries and was transported to Mount Sinai Saint Luke’s Hospital.
