Bullets flew near an Upper West Side elementary school Thursday afternoon, leaving a 71-year-old innocent bystander with a gunshot wound to his leg, cops said.
The man from Florida was caught in the crossfire at West 71st Street and Amsterdam Avenue, where two groups of youngsters were shooting at each other around 3:45 p.m., cops and sources said.

The shooting took place near the West Side Day School. James KeivomThe victim was grazed in the leg and taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The West End Day School, a private school serving K-8 students, is located less than a half a block away.
