A gang of men slashed and robbed a 16-year-old boy on a Bronx sidewalk, police said Saturday.
The men approached the boy about 3 p.m. Tuesday as he was walking to a relative’s house near the corner of Boston Road and Wilkins Avenue, authorities said.
They asked the boy if he belonged to a gang, then slashed him with a sharp object and grabbed his necklace.
The boy suffered head injuries and cuts to his body. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said
The men ran off.
Photos released by the NYPD show the attackers wearing hooded sweatshirts and sneakers.
