A teen was struck by a bullet inside a Long Island home early Tuesday when gunfire erupted outside, according to Suffolk County Police.
The 19-year-old woman was on the first floor of a home on East 9th Street off Depot Road in Huntington Station around 12:45 a.m. when she was struck in the leg by one of several gunshots fired outside, cops said.
She was rushed to Huntington Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the teen was the intended target or struck by a stray bullet. It also was unclear whether she was in her own home or another residence.
No one else was injured, and no arrests were immediately made.
