A Brooklyn teen who was left comatose when he was tackled by police while walking home has won a $1.8 million payout from the city, The Post has learned.

Rahiym Holmes, then 18-years-old, was walking home from a barbecue in Canarsie when the unprovoked attack occurred on July 11, 2010, just days before the rising college freshman was set to begin classes.

The high school football player sustained a fractured skull and permanent brain damage during the incident, and was left unable to walk.

Holmes’ mother, Channell Barber, filed suit on behalf of her son in 2011 against her city, the NYPD, then-NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly, Officers Thomas Napolitano, Craig Smith, Anthony Bagarozza, and three unnamed officers.

Napolitano was cleared of any wrongdoing during a departmental hearing in 2015. It remains unclear of any of the other named officers faced departmental hearings or discipline.

“Settling this case was in the best interest of the City,” a law department spokesman said.

Neither Barber nor Holmes’ lawyer, Alan Fuchsberg, immediatley returned a message.
