Three teens tried to rob a man in a Tompkinsville convenience store, authorities said yesterday.

Douan Dotts, 17, Adam Neils, 16, and Jamiele Pender, 17, wouldn’t let the victim pass them in the doorway of the store on Victory Boulevard near Montgomery Avenue at 10 p.m. Thursday, sources said.

They grabbed the victim and Neils patted him down, asking for an iPod, police said.

But the victim managed to flee and call 911.

Police quickly rounded up the suspects, who were charged with attempted robbery.
