Teens need a holey blessing
ALBANY — Parents will have to consent before anyone under 18 can get non-ear body piercings in New York under a law signed by Gov. Cuomo yesterday.
There had been no minimum age limit for non-ear piercings, which Cuomo said could lead to blood-borne diseases.
Piercing studios will have to check ID and witness a parent or legal guardian sign a consent form for anyone under 18 starting in three months.
