“Oh my God, my twins, my twins,” their mother, who neighbors identified as Alexandria Garnett, can be heard telling the operator in a recording obtained by ABC 6. “My twins are like purple, my kids, they’re not breathing, they’re not breathing, oh my God!”

“Ma’am, are the children, are they on their back?” the operator asked in a calm voice.

“I just put them on their backs,” Garnett said, still panic-stricken. “They were sleeping on their stomachs.”

“Ma’am, do you know how to do CPR?” the operator asked.

“I tried,” said the mother, who lives in Lindenwold. “I’ve been trying for the last 15 minutes.”

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is handling the investigation and has not yet released any information as to how the twins died.
