Law enforcers say luxury car owners in New York City were “stalked” by thieves who were filling orders for buyers in Africa.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced 14 arrests in the car theft investigation on Wednesday.

Authorities say the ring stole more than 100 cars with a value of $4 million.

They say the ring took orders for specific colors and models of Lexus sedans and other luxury vehicles from an international broker. The broker sold them to buyers in Nigeria and other African nations.

Schneiderman said once an order was placed, the thieves would locate the vehicles on city streets. They would then “stalk” the drivers until there was an opportune time to steal their cars.
