People might have to do some extra running around to move through the city Sunday.

Dozens of streets and bridges throughout the five boroughs will be closed for the New York City Marathon from 9 a.m. through 6:30 p.m., and more than 30 bus routes will also be rerouted.

Vehicles will not be able to drive on the Madison Avenue Bridge, the Willis Avenue Bridge or the Queensboro Bridge heading eastbound, or the southbound side of the Pulaski Bridge, during the marathon.

No buses will be crossing the upper half of Fifth Avenue in Manhattan during the race, and nearly all the roads west of Central Park will be closed between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.

Brooklyn street closures will include parts of Flatbush, Seventh and Bedford avenues.

In Queens, several of the streets surrounding Queens Plaza will be closed.

Parts of Morris, Alexander and Rider avenues in The Bronx also will be shut down.
