Here’s the perfect pooch for New Yorkers living in drafty apartments.
The American Kennel Club yesterday recognized three new breeds including the Xoloitzcuintli — which can be used like a hot-water bottle.
When hugged, the hairless dog radiates heat — providing not only warmth but relief from arthritis.
“They’re a little shy and aloof towards strangers, but they make good guard dogs,” said Joe Patalano, who lives on Long Island with his Xolo, Namina.
The other new breeds are:
* Norwegian lundehund, which boasts six toes on its paws. That came in handy for hunting puffin birds on remote cliffs — the job they used to be bred for.
* The Entlebucher, which has a type-A personality, striving always to please its owner.
