Police believe these two boys may have been responsible for sending shoppers into a panic Saturday when they set of fireworks inside the Staten Island Mall.
Cops stopped short of calling them suspects, but said the “persons of interest” were in the area immediately before the fireworks were lit, and are wanted for questioning.
The explosives were lit near the food court around 5 p.m., cops said.
The blasts were mistaken for gunfire and sent people running for the exits while others took cover in a frenzy that left several people with minor injuries.
The incident triggered a massive police response that included bomb-sniffing dogs and helicopters as authorities investigated.
