He made a clean getaway.
A shoplifter made a mess in a Bronx convenience store — and then made off with more than two-dozen bars of soap, cops said Tuesday.
The sudsy caper kicked off at 4 p.m. on Aug. 20th, when the man tried to leave a Family Dollar store on Boston Road in Morrisania without paying for about 30 bars of soap, according to police.
When an employee confronted him, the man raised his hand and sprayed the employee in the face with an unknown substance, sending him running out of the store.
Another employee was doused too after trying to stop the thief, cops said.
