A brute was caught on video tossing a woman around like a rag doll and mugging her on the Lower East Side, police said.

The 32-year-old woman was walking near the intersection of Essex and Hester streets around 4:20 a.m. Jan. 24 when the attacker ambushed her from behind, according to cops.

The suspect shoved the victim to the ground and flung her around until he freed her purse from her grip, video of the violent encounter shows.

The tall assailant is seen on the footage taking off, leaving the woman on the snowy sidewalk. The woman tried to follow the thief but wound up losing him.

The victim refused medical attention.

The mugger made off with the woman’s cash, credit cards and cellphone and was last seen wearing a green jacket, police said.
