A thief with ice in his veins swiped a snowblower from a good Samaritan who had just finished clearing his Staten Island neighbors’ walkways.
Bill Hebner, 67, worked his way down aptly named Winter Avenue in New Brighton with his beloved red Sears Craftsman snowblower when he decided to take a much-needed break at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and put it in his pickup.
Two hours later, Hebner’s 31-year-old daughter, Marjorie, spotted the pickup’s tailgate open and the snowblower nowhere to be found.
