Thousands of Spectrum cable and internet users throughout Brooklyn suffered through a morning without internet access — and the network says vandals are to blame.

“Another day, another Spectrum internet outage in Brooklyn due to vandalism,” Twitter user @MattKrupnik lamented.
Spectrum employees reported to police this morning that fiber-optic cables were cut in two locations: in Red Hook, at 721 Henry St., and in the area of the Columbia Street Waterfront, at 118 Sackett St., police said.
Spectrum, formerly known as Time Warner Cable, first got word of the outage around 3 a.m. Friday, said John Bonomo, a spokesman for the network.
In a statement released to The Post, Bonomo said, “Repair crews have been working tirelessly in the past several hours to restore service as quickly as possible.”
The NYPD is working with Spectrum to investigate and resolve “this latest round of criminal destruction of our network,” he added.
