Three men were arrested for playing with fireworks and sparking a Bronx blaze that injured several firefighters, one seriously, last week, the FDNY said Sunday.

Two of the men told investigators they had a “fireworks fight” shortly before the fire started at the Olmstead Ave. home in Unionport around 3:40 p.m. Thursday.

The flames quickly overtook the home before spreading to six other houses.

Eight firefighters were injured battling the blaze. One was said to be in serious condition but has since been released from the hospital.

One civilian was also suffered minor injuries.

Nabindranauth Nandalall and Shivnarine Lauchman, both 23, are charged with arson, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and illegal possession of fireworks.

They told FDNY investigators they had been battling each other with the fireworks before things got out of control.

A third man, Alejandro Soler, 27, was charged with illegal fireworks possession.

The men allegedly purchased the fireworks at what the FDNY described as a large retail store in Westchester Co.
