Three people were killed when their car veered off a Long Island road on Monday night, police said.

The SUV was traveling on Mount Sinai-Coram Road in Mount Sinai at about 11 p.m. when it swerved off the road and slammed into a utility pole, according to police.

After the collision, the vehicle erupted in flames, cops said.

The driver and two passengers were declared dead on the scene, authorities said. Their identities were not released early Tuesday.

The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
